Refinery Facilities Technician

As a Refinery Facilities Technician, you will be an integral part of our Refining & Supply Operations team. Your goal will be to perform general refinery technician duties and handle all materials from crude oil to refined products.

Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment for light maintenance work; complete the work as required.- Prepare work orders, hot work, and fresh air permits.- Assist senior facilities technicians on complex tasks as an apprentice, e.g. the planned shutdown of a unit.- Perform routine tasks under the guidance of a senior facility technician, e.g. monitor levels, temperatures, and pressures within various units to ensure equipment is functioning at peak efficiency.- Perform general refinery technician duties as required to learn refinery processes.- Collect samples, monitor, and test products to ensure quality meets required specifications.- Actively participate in housekeeping activities.
Your Skills:
- Ability to think, solve problems, and troubleshoot issues within process operations.- Strong Communication skills is critical- Able to bend, stoop, crawl, lift up to 40lbs, enter confined spaces, and climb ladders up to 50 feet.
Your Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Process Controls, Process Engineering, Engineering Technology, apprenticeship in a Trade or technical role.- Mechanical background and aptitude.- 3+ years of work experience.
