The Department of Families is seeking qualified individuals to fill three positions, one regular full-time in Steinbach and one regular full-time and one regular part-time in Beausejour, Manitoba.

The Community Service Delivery division delivers many of the department’s programs through a province-wide network of community-based offices. The division helps adults with intellectual disabilities to live and participate in the community through Community Living disABILITY Services, which includes funding and supports for residential services, day services, and transportation. The division helps children with disabilities, their families and caregivers through Children’s disABILITY Services, and provides funding for the Children’s Therapy Initiative, early intervention autism services, and external agencies that deliver specialized services. The division delivers the Employment and Income Assistance program for eligible Manitobans. EIA provides allowances for basic and essential living, shelter and health needs, as well as employment supports for people who are able to work. The Child and Family Services (CFS) program supports the welfare and safety of children and adolescents.

Qualifications:
Essential:

- Experience providing administrative, secretarial and clerical support to all various levels of staff including at the senior or executive level
- Experience maintaining electronic and hardcopy filing and tracking systems
- Experience handling sensitive information and materials with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and good judgement
- Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy when drafting, formatting, editing and proofing documents
- Ability to problem-solve a variety of situations where discretion and independent judgement is necessary Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to demonstrate discretion and independent judgement
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads, and manage concurrent assignments while meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate working relationships with staff as well as the public
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent Effective verbal communication skills

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the incumbent provides secretarial/administrative support to either the Regional Social Services (RSS) or the Rural and Northern Child and Family Services (RNCFS) Branch of the Community Services Delivery (CSD) Division of the Department of Families. Specific duties may vary depending on position and will include but not be limited to administrative assistant duties, support to the operators of data management/accounts payable programs such as INFACT and CMS, timekeeping and procurement duties. The incumbent performs switchboard and reception duties. Program scope includes all programs offered by RSS and RNCFS. Incumbents in RNCFS positions will be expected to support committees investigating alleged incidents of child abuse.
