**Assistant Director (Victoria)**

Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitments of ISS including service delivery that is person centered around individuals and families**:
The Assistant Director is accountable for the administration, support and collaboration with a team of Residential Managers, operated by Integra Support Services (ISS). The Assistant Director is expected to support, train and coach new leadership members. The Assistant Directors is also responsible for supporting and assisting the Managers with new implementation ideas, identifying problem areas relevant to the Program and working together to create positive solutions. This includes liaising with employees, contractors, families, government officials, other community organizations and companies at operational levels. The Program Manager will promote best practices for the overall planning, assist with quality assurance, and promote consistency within their Program area.

The scope of the position’s activity is governed by the specific needs of individuals and their families, program mandates, and ISS’s policies. Additional adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, such as CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities ) Standards, funding bodies (i.e. Community Living BC, Ministry for Children and Family Development), the _Community Care Facilities Act, Workers’ Compensation Board Act_ and Regulations, contractual agreements, _Employment Standards Act_, and the Collective Agreement between the Community Social Services Employers’ Association (CSSEA) and the Community Social Services Bargaining Association of Unions (CSSBA) is mandatory.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES**:

- General Administration_

Consistent with the Mission and Values of the organization, the Assistant Director is responsible for working collaboratively within assigned programs and service areas, ensuring adherence to policies of the organization and to the requirements of external accrediting or regulatory bodies. Within the scope of this function, the duties are as follows.
- Attend meetings as scheduled by the Director
- Provide direction and supervision to the Managers within assigned sites or service areas to ensure services provided are of the highest quality.
- Ensure CARF standards are being followed and remain up to date.
- Assist Coordinators to function as effective leaders and to achieve consensus decisions.
- Provide direction and leadership to Coordinators and employees or contractors in crisis situations.
- Identify and assesses high-risk situations, intervene and document.
- Advocate for individuals, families or other support networks to ensure individual or group interests are represented and /or ensure accessibility to resources and services.
- Maintain organized and up to date files and records on individuals supported s, projects and meetings concerning the individuals of the service area or the personnel of each of the programs.
- Assist individuals and support networks in developing goals and areas of need, coordinate the development of treatment plans that are assessed regularly.
- Provide leadership and direction to the team on uploading documents to Sharevision.
- The Assistant Director commits to an annual review of the Vision, Mission, Beliefs and purposes, as well as all Standards, Practices and Directives of the company.
