**Job Description**:
Position Summary: Supervises all production operations, conduct of food safety, and quality procedures of the plant to assure a safe, efficient, productive and positive work environment for the assigned shift. This person consistently directs, coaches, trains and gives performance feedback to the associates on the line. All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing occupational safety (OSHA) and food safety and food quality (FDA) in addition to environmental safety (EPA) in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities:

- Provides leadership and accomplishes results by training, scheduling, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, evaluating job contributions and developing professional growth opportunities while adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality and cost control.
- Schedules and plans shift activities and assigns tasks to all shift employees to ensure the highest level of production efficiency, output and conformance to schedule
- Acts as a servant leader, holding themselves accountable to providing clear expectations, consistent feedback, coaching/corrective action and training as appropriate.
- Engages employees and celebrates success as a team, recognizing employees who achieve intended results and embody our Company values
- Actively and consistently walks the production floor to promote and ensure people and food safety and to provide hands-on support to employees
- Coordinates inter-departmental teamwork to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot operations concerns (i.e. equipment failure, quality concerns)
- Identifies process improvements through initiating and fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation within and between departments, teams and shifts; leads root cause analysis activities in response to deviations/performance deficiencies, as appropriate
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules when necessary and resolving problems.
- Completes daily end of shift production report completely, accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with all SQF guidelines (Safe Quality Food), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements, all Food Safety and Food Quality and Food Defense requirements, all HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), as applicable.
- Strictly adheres to escalation protocols, including escalating all Food Safety, Food Quality, Food Defense, People Safety, Security, Production and GMP issues immediately per our escalation protocol.
- Responsible for daily review of employees’ timecards.
- Communicates regularly with other Production Supervisors to enhance consistency and success across all shifts.
- Takes an active role in Plant committees, such as the Safety Committee and the Food Safety Committee.
- Other duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Competency in English language (read, write, speak); excellent written, oral, and listening skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups of employees.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Proficiency in SAP or other warehouse management systems. Detailed SAP experience using all related transaction and analytics.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Can add, subtract, divide and have ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weights and cubic measurements.
