CRA's National Employment Equity (EE) Staffing Strategy strives to eliminate gaps for the four EE designated groups: Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and women. Where an EE gap exists at the time of appointment, EE may be used as an appointment criterion for permanent and temporary appointments over six months made through this process.

The CRA has introduced the requirement for on-site presence including hybrid work models where employees are required to work on-site at a CRA-approved location a minimum of two days per week or 40% of their regular monthly work schedule. A number of individual and group exceptions to on-site presence may be granted based on individual situations and the nature of the work being performed. Work arrangement agreements and specific circumstances may be discussed with the manager at the time of hiring.

As a **CPP/EI Rulings Officer**, you will be asked to:
Determine and formulate decisions on whether a job is insurable or not and whether a job is pensionable or not following requests for internal decisions from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), employers and workers.

**Minimum staffing requirements**

**Education**
- the CRA's minimum education standard for (SP), which consists of a high school diploma or CRA-approved alternatives.

**Essential staffing requirements**

**Option 1**:
No experience required

**Option 2**:
Have **recent and significant experience** within CRA at the SP-04 level or higher working to ensure compliance related to the Canadian Income Tax Act or Excise Tax Act and related statutes, guidelines, and other publications. This may include:

- Conducting audits, examinations or functions ancillary to audit;
- Administering, researching, and interpreting provisions of applicable legislation and regulations (i.e., ITA, ETA, CPP, EI and related provincial Acts), policies, directives, and jurisprudence.
- Recent and significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be associated with performance of these functions as part of the major job duties accomplished for a minimum of six (6) cumulative months within the last twenty-four (24) months.

**Option 3**:
Currently hold a SP0377 at the LPRAB of the Eastern Quebec TSO **AND **be qualified in the staffing process **58405090.**
