**10-Month Limited Term Appointment - School of Criminal Justice**

The School of Criminal Justice at Nipissing University offers four streams to students. These include, Policing, Corrections, Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies, with a program designed to balance theory and practice. Students have opportunities to work with criminal justice professionals through field placements, projects, and research.
- completion or near completion of a terminal degree in criminology or criminal justice (PhD) or a related field (e.g., LLM),
- have post-secondary teaching experience,
- demonstrate active research agenda related to the field of criminal justice,
- practical experience is preferred but not required.
- CRJS-1206 - Introduction to Canadian Law (two sections)
- CRJS-2216 - Civil Law and Civil Procedure _**or**_CRJS 3926-Special Topics in Criminal Justice I
- CRJS-3206 - Canadian Criminal Law
- CRJS-4477 - Penology
- CRJS-4927 - Advanced Topics in Criminal Justice II

Nipissing University is located in the City of North Bay, Ontario (population 55,000), in the territory of the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850 and the Nipissing First Nation Traditional Territory and the traditional territory of the Anishinabek.
