The Philosophy program at Nipissing offers an Honours Specialization, Specialization, Major, and Minor degree. Faculty anticipate making several changes to curriculum over the coming year, with the aim of making the program more flexible for students and strengthening contributions to the university as a whole in the area of ethics. The ideal candidate will have:

completed or be near to completion of a Ph.D. in Philosophy evidence of excellence in teaching at the University level, with teaching competence in the history of philosophy an active research agenda in any area of Philosophy; however, the committee would be particularly interested in candidates with an AOS in ethics and public policy-related topics, who are able to contribute to the process of curriculum reform in Philosophy.

The successful candidate should be prepared to teach the following courses:
