We set ourselves apart from the pack by working to develop the brand prototype scopes first, and then adapting this knowledge to each new project that comes across our table to bid._
- JSI has an immediate opening and exciting opportunity for a Project Manager position._

**OVERALL SCOPE OF POSITION**:
Working in close collaboration with the client, and under the general guidance of the respective Executive Project Manager, the Project Manager plans, directs, coordinates and controls activities of custom designed manufacturing projects to ensure that established project timelines & budgets are achieved. He/she ensures the progression of all project milestones to the satisfaction of the client throughout the entire lifecycle of a project.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Becomes thoroughly familiar with contract documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work for each assigned project;
- Ensures project legal and insurance requirements are adhered to;
- Oversees the progression of the projects throughout their entire lifecycle until completion;
- Is responsible for updating all internal stakeholders in a timely, efficient manner (drafting, engineering, production);
- Creates schedules according to what is required for each assigned project, including measurements, material procurement, installation, and changes.
- Ensures everyone adheres to the established project schedule. Maintains timelines and quality of shop drawings, shop production, shipping, installation, sub-contracts, and punch lists according to project specifications.
- Researches sources of material and sub-contractors if necessary;
- Negotiates sub-contracts if required;
- Ensures the purchasing and receiving by vendors and sub-contractors are on time;
- Approves payments and ensures that the labor, material, quality and service of the vendors and sub-contractors are satisfactory;
- Identifies extras and prepares the appropriate paperwork required for their execution;
- Ensures timely payment is received by the client;
- Ensures an adequate follow up with the client & provides excellence in service rendered throughout the project execution;
- Provides full collaboration with the client end user and/or general contractor, designer, etc. throughout the project life cycle to their satisfaction & expectations;
- Maintains the company’s software programs updated and uses the latter in order to assist in the ongoing management of projects - ERP etc.

**QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE)**
- Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil or Building Engineering with strong focus on Project Management
- 5-7 years experience in a similar position preferably for an architectural woodwork or kitchen cabinetry manufacturer
- Superior organization and time management skills - ability to multi-task & prioritize
- Superior sales approach and business acumen with the ability to understand client needs and expectations;
- Proficiency in computer skills - Office Suite, etc.
- Excellent presentation skills (for internal & external presentations)
- Knowledge of software management systems such as ERP
- Strong verbal and written skills in English
- Working knowledge of French
- Attention to detail in a fast paced environment
- Is able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- A PMP designation is considered a strong asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- 8 hour shift
