Position Overview:
As a Recruitment Specialist, you will work as part of a dynamic team and partner closely with the rest of our HR team to develop creative sourcing strategies, build brand awareness, screen, interview and hire exceptional talent.-

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in developing and maintaining recruitment strategies and supporting recruitment processes to fill key roles.
- Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, including timeline to hire.
- Manage the hiring process for numerous recruits simultaneously.
- Reviewing and presenting recruitment metrics, identifying gaps and working with HR team to implement actions driven by metrics.
- Developing and providing training and on-going coaching on recruitment best practices to hiring managers and interviewers.
- Supporting HR team with employee onboarding program, as needed.
- Taking on various HR Generalist, administrative responsibilities as the role and the business requires.
- Requirements:
- Must have a minimum 3-year degree or diploma in a related discipline
- Minimum 2-4 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System
- Exceptional relationship building skills
- Up to date with recruitment best practices including an understanding and appreciation for hiring a diverse and inclusive workforce
- Demonstrate understanding of employment laws and collective agreements
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High empathy and emotional intelligence with a focus on business acumen
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs
- Results driven, creative problem solver, strong organizational skills
- Self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in behavioural interviewing methodologies, competency-based techniques, and/or other selection and assessment tools
- Must be a team player who thrives in a busy environment, while upholding strong business and work ethics
- Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
- Asset:
- Experience working in a Municipal Sector and/or Union environment
- CHRP, CHRL or pursuing designation
