**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled **Demand Planner** to join our Mississauga, Ontario team. Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, this position is responsible for creating and maintaining the system forecast for our products. The Demand Planner will collaborate with other departments including sales, marketing, finance and procurement. They will combine historical sales data, customer POS, and other data sources to ensure an accurate and reliable demand plan to meet our customer needs and grow sales.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and maintain high quality demand forecasts by assembling and analyzing pertinent data including historical order bookings/shipments, item master data, market and macro-economic trends, seasonality, promotions, and product life-cycle
- Validate sales/marketing inputs with fact-based data (historical sales/POS) and ensure proper calibration occurs.
- Identify major forecast variances and take corrective actions to ensure forecast accuracy targets are being met.
- Support life-cycle management processes for all new product launches, ongoing product reviews and product exits
- Leverage customer data to create and deliver regularly scheduled POS reports
- Key contributor to the distillation of forecast and POS data in support of management’s monthly and quarterly reviews
- In collaboration with Procurement, Sales and Customer Service, work to effectively manage and control inventory levels while developing strategies to ensure achievement of customer service KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement of procedures, policies, processes and technologies within demand planning
- Prepare key measurement reports for Finance, Sales, Procurement, Customer Service, Freight/Distribution and Manufacturing

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education with a degree or diploma, ideally with a strong mathematical / statistical component
- 3+ years of Demand Planning experience
- Conscientious with strong time management skills including the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel and Access
- SAP APO experience considered an asset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills driving fact-based decisions
