Summary:
The Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for performing activities related to demand planning and supply planning and replenishment under the supervision of the Demand and Supply Manager.
The main role is to make sure ingredients and packaging are being ordered and delivered in due time based on the sales forecast established with the sales team.
Other areas of responsibility include but are not limited to inventory management, masterdata and ERP postings.Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Oversees inventory and supply planning responsibilities for raw materials and packaging.
- Be an active contributor to the demand planning to analyze demand trends and help define monthly sales forecast
- Collaborate with the operational teams to translate demand plan into supply plan and monthly production plan
- Maintains capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives.
- Responsible for inventory stock transfer and replenishment within plants, DC and 3 PL.
- Develop detailed understanding of warehousing constraints and capabilities of the manufacturing locations being planned.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential supply issues impacting the business with production facilities, Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and Customer Service.
- Supply recommendations are based upon scheduling parameters and system settings that are developed and maintained to support sales goals, inventory targets, as well as minimizing the age of product when shipped to a customer.
- Track vendor performance: fill rate, quality, on time in full KPI's
- Manage and control finished goods inventories to achieve the company's financial targets along with utilizing obsolete and slow moving inventory reports to determine action required to initiate salvage sale or disposal of product.
- Analyze longterm production capacity and develop/maintain capacity models showing planned production, projected inventories and projected capacity utilization and available capacity by period/month.
- Deploy finished goods inventories across the distribution network to support customer needs
Requirement:
- Postsecondary education in Business/Supply Chain or a related field
- 36 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning
- Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and make decisions based on available information
- JDE or any other ERP system experience is required
- Highlevel proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
- Drive for achieving and surpassing targets
- Passion and commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong Communication and Collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively present and communicate at various levels of the organization
- APICS Certification is a significant plus
