The **Administrator **leads the day-to-day operations of **Moira Place **while promoting an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality for our residents. Reporting to the Vice President, you will effectively utilize your team leadership skills to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care as well as a rewarding and innovative employment opportunity to our team members. You will strive to maximize operational excellence through innovative and strategic initiatives while building a strong community comprised of meaningful and productive relationships.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and achieve the Home’s financial objectives through budget development and ongoing management of financial results throughout the year
- Prepare, implement, and oversee operational and capital budgets in collaboration with department managers and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Provide leadership and direction in all aspects of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) planning and implementation; ensure compliance with the FLTCA, 2021 and established company policies
- Ensure that appropriate levels of care are provided to residents through effective staffing and use of resources
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures to ensure standards of care and safety are met and that resources are effectively utilized
- Participate in the selection, development, and motivation of a skilled multidisciplinary team of employees
- Lead labour relations within the Home and provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance monitoring to staff, taking corrective action when necessary
- Coordinate positive interactions with resident family contacts and promote family involvement within the LTC community
- Actively engage in various public relations initiatives throughout the year to enhance and support the positive image of the Home within the community
- Represent the Home at relevant community, professional, and civic meetings
- Ensure that the Home is compliant with the Acts and Regulations governing LTC and all relevant legislated requirements through excellent working knowledge of the FLTCA, 2021
- Provide oversight and leadership for Health & Safety programs such as Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) and Fire Prevention; ensure that health and safety policies and guidelines are in place and adhered to
- Ensure effective reporting and documentation is maintained, perform audits
**Qualifications**:
- Must have a recognized three (3) year degree in a related field or two (2) year diploma in health or social services
- Must have 3 to 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in the health or social services sector
- Successfully completed, or be enrolled in, a qualifying long-term care home administration program
- Possesses sound judgement and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaison with, and have familiarity of, the workings of the Ministry of Health, LHIN, the hospital and other community resources
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead an efficient, productive workforce
