Your role at Clorox:
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting prepares and coordinates the monthly and quarterly financial reporting package, including financial statements and quarterly schedules to Corporate. This role requires working very closely with the US Consolidation and Corporate Accounting Team and external auditors to ensure accurate, complete and timely reporting of financial results and position.

In this role, you will:

- Review/preparation of month end journal entries across multiple entities
- Coordinate month end close process including maintaining an updated list of month end journal entries and related status
- Prepare periodic royalty summaries and related calculations
- Prepare/coordinate monthly/quarterly reporting packages (and other required data forms and supporting schedules) for multiple legal entities
- Review/prepare selected balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis with analytic commentary
- Accounting research to provide guidance and support to our business partners from other cross functions
- Prepare working papers and coordinate financial audits with external auditors (pension plans, and group audit)
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of team
- Perform and coordinate quarterly internal control compliance process and testing for financial reporting as part of SOX
- Support upcoming SAP implementation including testing, data conversion and problem resolution.

What we look for:
- Minimum 10 yrs experience,- CPG experience ideally- Experience in subledgers (AR, Inventory, Fixed Assets and A/P), standard costing, transfer pricing, advertising, sales promotion and intercompany reconciliations- Professional accounting designation CA/CMA/CPA is preferable- Solid ability to use Microsoft Office tools, with a strong focus on MS-Excel (VLookup and PIVOT, sumifs, conditional formulas)- Knowledge of AS400, SAP, Oracle, COGNOS and HFM is a plus- Treasury and tax experience an asset- Undergraduate degree/diploma in business/ accounting is required
