The Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Provincial Police, and the Bureau Commander of Business Management Bureau is seeking a qualified individual to join our Bureau. In this exciting, rewarding and challenging opportunity, you will manage the implementation of capital projects across the OPP, which comprise a diverse mix of offices, facilities and locations across the province, by providing customer and advisory services, and supporting strategic capital planning.

Manage the organization, control and evaluation of the delivery of a full range of construction/ accommodation/ leasing services and related projects, including project budget control, monitoring and reporting of capital and funding.

Manage the relationships between the OPP, other ministries and its service providers.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: As part of the Corporate Services Command, the Business Management Bureau delivers services through the following specialty sections: Procurement, Finance, Facilities, Information Management, and Research, Planning & Analysis.

The Facilities Services Section provides expertise in the development of new OPP facilities. The team supports day-to-day and long-term accommodation/lease management and administration of all OPP facilities and works directly with program areas in identifying and addressing their physical space requirements. Facilities is the one-point of contact between OPP clients and representative of Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and its service providers on the development and implementation of accommodation and leasing projects during all phases of a project. The Section helps to ensure that the organization's challenging and complex infrastructure requirements are met in a way which best serve effective service delivery.

There are approximately 500 facilities in the OPP's portfolio - a mix of detachments, regional headquarters, forensic identification labs, communications centers, training centers, special investigative facilities, administrative offices and other special purpose facilities.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Mandatory**:

- Ability to pass an OPP background/ security investigation.
- Ability to travel across the province - This position must be able to travel independently to attend site's locations and meet with deployed Facilities Management Consultants across the province of Ontario as part of their overall project management and facilities responsibilities.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**: Knowledge of:

- Financial and administrative procedures, to manage and control allocated financial and material resources, including developing annual budgets, and managing assets and contract service providers.
- Facilities management service theories, principles, practices and government accommodation policies, guidelines and accommodation initiatives to manage the provision of a full range of facilities management, security, emergency measures and leasing services to meet ministry needs and align with ministry/government priorities, mandates and objectives.
- Related ministry and federal government standards, legislation (e.g. Building Codes) and industry standards to ensure construction, design and other services acquired to meet government and industry standards.
- Risk management principles, government and ministry communications and issues management processes and methods to provide identification and analysis of issues and strategic advice and recommendations
