The Manager, Financial Analysis contributes to the overall success of the International Business (IB) Financial Planning & Analysis in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They also work to ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

**Accountabilities**:

- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Provide support to PAC countries and coordinate financial activities of quarter end process, forecasting and planning (Bluebook, Executive Reports, IB plan, EWST, among others) and submissions
- Review Financial statements and perform high level reasonability of country results and their submission of deliverables
- Prepare market share value-added analysis in order to measure and track PAC countries performance
- Analyze and identify profit improvement opportunities for the PAC countries
- Analyze and review processes with the countries in order to achieve the goals of performance and provide recommendations to make sure continuous improvement.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

**Education and Experience**:

- MBA is an asset or undergrad in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering
- Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis and reports
- Advanced excel skills
- Proficiency in Spanish is an asset
