We are opening Bada by Damso, the second location and restaurant of Damso on Denman in Downtown. We are excited to hire a staff team for the launch of our new restaurant. It will be a Korean seafood menu and located in Downtown, Robson Street. The opening hours will be from the evening to late night, so only applicants who are able to work till late night and able to safely go home after closing would be preferred.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our recipes and standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food that is both delicious and visually appealing.
**Duties**:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure that all food is cooked and presented in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute daily menu items
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient meal preparation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
