THE ROLE:

Our summer student program provides an opportunity to experience real-world challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, network with other students and create a vision for your future career path.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

- Support ongoing Sustainability initiatives (including Carbon Abatement) and External Affairs
- Research Canadian climate policy and carbon reduction technology
- Prepare presentation material for use by Senior leadership
- Gather competitive intelligence on PETRONAS’ competitors’ efforts in relation to Sustainability
- Exposure to projects including external affairs and community investment
- Participate in various projects as needed

WHAT YOU BRING:

- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a post-secondary institution in Canada, and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term
- Enrolled in Commerce, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Engineering or Environmental Sciences program, 3rd or 4th year preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is considered an asset
- Exceptional researcher, with advanced analytical skills
- Curious and passionate about Sustainability
- Adaptable to changing priorities with demonstrated complex problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
