MIMPA is seeking an Administrative & Production Assistant

Music in Motion Performing Arts Studio (MIMPA) located in Bradford,
Ontario is looking to build our team to accommodate our rapidly growing studio.

MIMPA is a Triple Threat Performing Arts Studio.
We teach the art forms of acting, singing and dancing to inspire joyful creativity in our students.

Through the power of the performing arts, we help prepare our students for their shining moments on the stage of life.

**We are seeking a strong multitasker with great people skills to help us with all the behind the scenes tasks involved in running a thriving business that has many diverse programs and exceptional theatrical productions.**

Information for Prospective Employees

Administrative & Production Assistant Responsibilities:
**Weekly 20+ hours (days and times can be flexible)**:

- Administrative work - scheduling, program reminders, orders, creating & preparing documents and handouts
- Assisting with productions - assisting with sourcing and managing props, sets & costumes, backstage and front of house preparation, organizing supplies
- Assisting with maintaining studio space - inventory & organization
- _Option to work partial hours from home after training period_
- _Hourly rate negotiable based on experience starting at $20.00 / hr_

**Additional hours during "show weeks" (will vary with each production)**:

- Preparing and packing all items for travel to show venue
- Coordinating staff and volunteers meals for show venue
- Show day(s) set up, errands, assisting during productions backstage or front of house, clean up/tear down
- Assisting with volunteer direction

Skills & Requirements:

- _Valid Driver's License and access to vehicle _
- _Access to a laptop computer_
- Computer literacy and experience with google programs and social media platforms. Other online software experience is an asset (such as Canva)
- Proactiveness, cheerfulness and a problem-solving attitude
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and great with detail oriented projects
- Can work independently and with a team
- A passion for the performing arts and how it can powerfully and positively impact the lives of children and those around them.
- **All staff will be required to provide/obtain a current vulnerable sector background check**_
