**Responsibilities**:
The Program Coordinator supports effective and efficient academic coordination across seven departments in the Faculty of Science, including Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Physics & Astronomy, and Statistical and Actuarial Sciences, ensuring adherence to program standards. The role acts as a point of contact and resource for leaders, faculty members, staff, and students, providing guidance regarding Faculty/Program and University academic processes and procedures in response to inquiries, providing referrals to other individuals or resources as required. The role collaborates with the Academic Advising team to provide support to students, coordinates the logistics for hiring and overseeing proctors, provides support for scholastic offence processes at the Department level, and generates data and reports for review. The Program Coordinator monitors undergraduate course enrolment, creates, maintains and updates specialized departmental databases, including 1st-year student progression in large courses, creates and distributes various complex schedules using specialized software, including course and midterm scheduling, and contributes to ongoing refinement of program processes and procedures, including streamlining graduation check processes. The Program Coordinator collaborates closely with each department to ensure processes are streamlined, communication is optimized, and undergraduate students receive unparalleled support, ensuring the commitment to academic success and experience of undergraduate students in the Faculty.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- 3 year Community College Diploma in Business Management/Administration or relevant discipline
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred

**Experience**:

- 4 years of experience coordinating logistics of specialized programs and services, providing administrative support and customer service in an academic environment
- Experience working with leaders, faculty members, staff and students in a Faculty would be an asset

- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
- Familiarity with academic calendar and programs offered at Western preferred
