Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent provides customer service to Library customers at the Barrie campus The incumbent also maintains the reserve collection. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- Providing basic reference services for collection, and Interlibrary Loan Support which includes assistance with library catalogue, web site and electronic systems
- Maintaining online and physical reserve collection by adding, modifying, and deleting records in library system and preparing and organizing physical items on reserve shelves
- Processing electronic reserves to meet accessible format requirements
- Review and update reserve collection each semester, connect with faculty to determine course reserve requirements to maintain a current course reserve collection
- Assisting with the maintenance of the library collections by ensuring materials that require repair are forwarded to Technical Services
- Shelving, sorting, counting, processing, and withdrawing material as needed
- Acting as a resource for Library Student Assistants inquiries from all campuses regarding library procedures and operations
- Scheduling and training of Library Student Assistants when required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Successfully completed a one-year postsecondary certificate in a relevant field of study
- A minimum of one year of experience providing customer service support
- One year of experience in a library customer service role providing circulation and basic reference services is an asset
- Experience excepting payments via cash, debit, or credit
- Demonstrated computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and library automation software
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work with various teams, college departments and to promote library services
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work evenings and some weekends
