The Knowledge Synthesis team perform systematic reviews, rapid reviews, scoping reviews and network meta-analysis for knowledge users and decision makers so that they can make timely, evidence-informed healthcare decisions. We build supportive relationships amongst diverse collaborators and patient partners to co-create impactful public health research. The position requires working with a large number of collaborator groups (clinical, research, administrative, and patient partners); therefore, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential. This position will offer the successful applicant a challenging and rewarding environment, with the opportunity to help improve the healthcare sector.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Administrative Duties**
- Develop correspondence and other relevant documentation, including letters, memos, reports, invoices, abstracts, forms etc. to support the activities of the research team and Principal Investigator.
- With support from study team/PI creates slides for webinars, written study reports scientific meetings, and conferences.
- Assists with guideline, policy and standard operation procedures (SOP) development in the program
- Creates documentation such as protocol briefs, research briefs, reports, and abstracts.
- Participate in database processing and management.
- Organize video/teleconference meetings for research studies, including contacting attendees and preparing meeting materials.
- Book team meetings and manage complex scheduling requests, including chairing team meetings and recording meeting minutes.
- Prepare REB submissions relative to the initiation and conduct of individual studies.
- Format and register study protocols (e.g., Open Science Framework, PROSPERO).
- Collect conflict of interest forms.
- Follow hospital, ethics, privacy regulations and KTP¿s policies and procedures

**Research Duties**
- Collect, compile, update and provide basic statistical information and other data to generate and prepare reports and other documentation to support study related data, and create data abstracts.
- Collect and assist in the processing and compilation, verification, maintenance, and archiving of research data.
- Collect, transcribe, organize, quality control, and data enter study related data.
- May engage in data processing activities as needed for the project (i.e. Cleaning/coding data in specific programs).
- May assist research team with manuscript and report writing, including writing abstracts for papers, conferences, and 1-page summaries; and the creation of EndNote files.
- Support manuscript preparation (providing overviews of methodology, and data collection metrics), and submission.
- Perform literature searches/data mining on requested topics through databases and provide relevant articles to PI or research team.

**Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills**
- A Bachelor¿s degree in Science, Public Health Sciences, Social Sciences (e.g., psychology), Bioethics, Clinical Sciences (e.g., social work), Business, Health Administration **and** 1 year of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of specialized education and experience is required.
- A Master¿s degree in a relevant field is an asset.
- Demonstrated administrative experience, preferably in a fast-paced research health care setting is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, particularly database, spreadsheet and word processing.
- PowerPoint skills: able to develop slide decks that help create interest/visual appeal in presentations is an asset.
- Experience with a reference manager (i.e. EndNote, Mendeley, etc.) is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to learn new skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including plain language communications
- Proficient in document management, in both electronic and hard copy forms.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Able to take initiative.
- Able to work in a fast paced, adaptable environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Statistical knowledge and experience with formatting data tables for manuscript publication is an asset.
