**About The Role**

As Codezilla’s Camp Coordinator, your #1 job is to ensure that our camp teams have what they need to deliver a flawless, ‘Educational Fun’ experience each week.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**1) Camp Operations Coordinator (40% of job)**:

- Lead camp set up and pack up (ie. start/end of summer) alongside each camp team
- Weekly camp check-ins and coordination, to ensure efficient camp operations for a safe, fun, and enriching experience for campers.
- Manage inventory and supplies for camp activities and projects.

**2) On-site Staff support (30% of job)**:

- Assist with high-priority, high-profile camp events (e.g. Monday meet and greet, Friday presentations)
- Provide on-site camp support, as needed, ie. supply staff support or hands-on learning experiences that engage campers

**3) Program Development and Implementation (10% of job)**:

- Collaborate with curriculum developers to design and adapt coding and STEM activities for campers of varying ages and skill levels.
- Together with Camp Teams, ensure that camp activities are aligned with educational standards and promote digital literacy, critical thinking, STEM innovation, problem-solving, collaboration and presentation skills.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and suggest adjustments as needed, to enhance the camper experience.

**4) Communication and Outreach (10% of job)**:

- Assist Camp Management by responding to camp inquiries, provide camp information and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote camp programs and to communicate updates to parents, staff and potential camp partners.

**5) Safety and Risk Management (10% of job)**:

- Assist with safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of campers and staff at all times.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of camp facilities, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Ideal for a new graduate or university student studying education, recreation or event management, business management or prior work in a camp setting (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of staff and camp families.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in youth programming (bonus)
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

- Responsible and reliable: management, camp teams and families can rely on you
- You must enjoy working around children and youth in a summer camp environment

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Upon hire, a Criminal Background Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening) is required (over 18 years of age) or Statutory Declaration (under 18 years of age).
- Eligible to work under the Canadian Summer Jobs grant: eligible to work in Canada and within the grant age requirements at start of employment.

**Compensation & Job Details**
- 30 hours per week, hours will vary between 9am-4:00pm (full time seasonal role)
- 70% onsite, across all GTA camp locations + 30% remote
