**About this position**:
**The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing financial transactional, analytical, forecasting, reporting and support to managers.**

**The Finance Analyst be responsible for payroll and benefit processing including remittances, preparation of monthly reports including but not limited to key metrics, financial results and variance reporting for managers and directors, Ministry reporting and reconciliation with a focus on Ministry of Community, Children and Social Services (MCCSS) reporting, support to the senior finance analyst in the preparation of the monthly Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Branch (CMHA HKPR) Board of Directors financial reports, back up support and trainer for AP processors, back up support for Ministry SRI and MIS submissions, audit readiness, identification and support of process and system design opportunities**

**A. REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION**

**Education and Training**

Completion of post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in business, accounting, and/or minimum of ten (10) years related progressive work experience in ministry funded finance.

We recognize that mandatory training before hire is an asset, however, successful completion of the training applicable to this role shall be requirements for continued employment in this position:

- Health and Safety Training (including but not limited to the following)Globally Harmonized System (previously W.H.M.I.S.)

Infection, Prevention & Control
Workplace Violence
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (A.S.I.S.T.)
Non Violent Crisis Intervention (N.V.C.I.)
First Aid/Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.)

**Assets with regard to this position**
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics G.P. accounting system and Quadrant HR
- Knowledge of Ontario Health Care Reporting Standards

**B. RELATED AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE**

**Mandatory experience**
- Minimum three (3) years accounting, finance, and payroll experience

**Preferred experience**
- Excellent organizational skills, demonstrated ability to self-manage time and multiple tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible, and works effectively at an individual, program and system level
- Finance experience in the not-for-profit sector

**Salary**: From $26.31 per hour
