Our corporate partnerships are multi-faceted with a primary focus on creating systems change through action within their core business through programs like our Plastic Reduction Program.

With an ambition of raising $45 million annually by 2030, Ocean Wise is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Lead with experience in corporate gifts, a strong background in business development, and a passion for supervising a dynamic team within corporate partnerships and business development.

The corporate partnership lead will be responsible for ambitious corporate goals, including $2 M from corporate partners in 2024. The Corporate Partnerships Lead will virtually manage of team of 2 people and collaborate with the Development and global engagement/communications teams to find opportunities to identify and grow giving across the user journey all who engage with Ocean Wise.

Ocean Wise is a remote-first organization with headquarters in downtown Vancouver. This position will be based in Canada with consideration for remote work in Vancouver or Toronto, Canada. **ROLE OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the COO, the Corporate Partnerships Lead is responsible for managing a robust portfolio of corporate supporters, which includes sponsorships, donations and business development, to advance the Ocean Wise 2030 Conservation Strategy. In collaboration with colleagues across the organization, including program staff, and members of the senior management and executive teams, the Corporate Partnerships Lead will solicit and steward key corporate relationship that ensures revenue targets are achieved. The Corporate Partnerships Lead will also develop and carry through sponsorship activations that will promote the Ocean Wise brand to key audiences. This role will also lead on designing products and ensuring product specifications are executed within reasonable timelines and cost parameters, while keeping up to date on industry news and trends within product/service offerings

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Responsible for increasing revenue in the corporate portfolio by**:

- Meeting personal revenue targets from a portfolio of existing and new supporters, which contribute to overall success of the department and organization;
- Managing a pipeline of new prospects and existing supporters;
- Developing and implementing personalized cultivation and solicitation plans for corporate supporters and sponsors.
- Drafting Letters of Inquiry and making phone calls/having face-to-face meetings to explore potential for collaboration;
- Preparing and coordinating materials such as proposals, briefing notes, presentations, call reports, letters, and other documents/materials;
- Arranging for prospective and existing supporters to meet with appropriate Ocean Wise program staff and senior leaders, including members of the board and volunteers as required;
- Ensuring that supporters receive impeccable and personalized stewardship, through tailored correspondence, reports, and updates in a timely and professional manner;
- Working closely with Ocean Wise colleagues to fulfill sponsorship or product benefits, including developing and managing activations in partnership with corporate supporters
- Drafting interim and final reports and use existing tracking and fulfillment procedures to ensure deliverable deadlines are met;
