**Starting Salary**: $75,000 - per year (commensurate with experience)

**About Us**
Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub is rich in heritage and tradition, vibrant in culture, generous in hospitality and with a social spirit. We make the pub guests feel welcome and offer our unique combination of great food, beverage and live music and legendary craic. Our menu is driven by made-in-pub food, offering a balance between traditional pub fare and innovative recipes. We offer a diverse selection of perfectly poured pints, whiskeys, hand-crafted cocktails and premium wines. Our nightly entertainment offerings are curated to create the best craic on the east coast of Canada. We strive to go way beyond than you would expect from a typical Irish Pub, and so we are more than just typical people.
**About You: The Publican - the Face of the Pub**
Think of it as hosting a party at the pub every day. The Publican should be present during busy times to support their team on the floor and host the party with guests; touching tables, socializing and helping out where necessary and constantly choreographing the best entertainment experience. The Publican shows respect for their team, their guests and the brand identity. As the face of the pub, the Publican consistently communicates, gives positive and constructive feedback to their team and is willing to accept responsibility for the overall success of the business. As a Publican, passion and enthusiasm for interacting with guests and engaging with staff to create a fun atmosphere is a must
**Responsibilities**
- Pub financials and recommendations of actions towards profit management, achievement of budgets, sales building and scheduling.
- Ensure completion of accurate and timely periodic financial statements for restaurants
- Oversee hiring and the ongoing development of the management team (ongoing feedback, coaching and performance reviews)
- Assist in recruitment for hiring new staff and final interviews and ensuring effective onboarding to ensure each employee contributes to the success of the team
- Encourage and perpetuate the pub culture through effective leadership
- Oversee the execution of front line training and marketing programs
- Ensure the pub adheres to all legislative and government guidelines (i.e. proper safe food and beverage service, A&G, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards etc).
**Job Requirements**
- Minimum 3-5 years management experience working in a high-volume dining restaurant; previous management experience working in a pub atmosphere is a definite asset.
- Post-secondary education, preferably in hospitality and/or business related field
- Strong business acumen, including and understanding of budgets and operating costs
- Extensive knowledge of pub operation, food, beverage production and service
- Ability and commitment to deliver an authentic Irish Pub experience
- Demonstrate ability to motivate and direct others
- Understanding pub culture and the ability to transfer this into behaviour for all employees
- Understands the pub guests across all day and night parts

**Work Environment**
- Physical demands include walking and standing, bending, kneeling, repetitive twisting and lifting, and repetitive arm movements
- Be able to work outside for a prolonged period of time
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
- Uniforms and PPE provided by LHG must be worn during work hours
