**Start Date**:November 2024

At Cypress Mountain, exceptional guest service and a strong, supportive team environment are at
the heart of everything we do. Our Snow School Supervisors play a pivotal role in shaping
unforgettable experiences for both our guests and team members alike. The Snow School Night
Supervisor will lead the night operations of the Snow School Lessons Programs with dedication and
care, fostering growth, teamwork, and development among the team. They will guide, support and
mentor the team to ensure they are empowered to provide our guests with the experience of a
lifetime. This is an opportunity to lead with compassion, inspire excellence, and create lasting
memories for everyone who comes through the Cypress Mountain Snow School night programs.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES **(include but not limited to the following)**:

- Lead and oversee daily evening instruction/lesson groups in Snow School programs.
- Prioritizing safety and the well-being of both guests and team members.
- Champion/support/train and disseminate Health & Safety/Risk Management programs and

policies.
- Managing incident reporting.
- Assist in development of an engaging and evolving curriculum that meets the diverse needs of

both guests and team members.
- Manage scheduling and class assignments, providing instructional support where needed.
- Monitor, document, and provide ongoing, constructive feedback on instructor performance.
- Celebrate successes and address areas for growth through recognition and, if needed, corrective

action or further development.
- Foster a culture of learning and accountability.
- Provide clear communication and follow-up with team members.
- Stay informed on and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company

policies.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other departments, management teams, and third-party

organizations to enhance school operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Engage actively in leadership forums, providing thoughtful feedback and contributing to

initiatives aimed at improving school operations, staff development, and guest satisfaction.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, approaching them with a solution-oriented, timely, and

growth-focus mindset.
- Complete closing procedures for the on-snow portion of evening activities.
- Monitor and oversee scheduling and pay in Flaik system, ensuring accuracy and fairness.

**QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES**:

- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Professional, reliable, punctual, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well with both children (ages 3+) and adults.
- Exceptional communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of computer literacy and the ability to support others in developing their

digital skills.
- Experience in coordinating daily lesson plans and adjusting schedules.
- The ability to give and receive feedback.
- Motivated to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
- Able to show initiative and adapt to change.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet needs of the business (weekends/holidays)

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**:

- CSIA/PSIC/CASI minimum Level 2 certification (or foreign equivalent).
- High School or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of instructing experience.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**:

- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC Driver’s License - an asset
- Have a dependable/insured vehicle required to get to/from work - an asset
