**_Role Impact:_**

The Manager, Strategic Planning works with the Director, Strategic Planning & Risk to deliver analyses and insights around our current and future asset classes in support of the company strategic planning process and progress monitoring, including progress on CF’s ESG program. The role is important in uncovering and evaluating opportunities that drive growth and value, providing strategic advice and insight on major issues affecting, or likely to affect, the portfolio of various assets across the organization especially given CF’s constantly evolving strategy and asset mix. This role collaborates with various internal departments, at all levels of management, including Operations, Investments, Development, Data & Innovation, and Legal to create, monitor and execute strategic planning.

**_ What you will deliver:_**
- Work with the Director, Strategic Planning & Risk and the Strategic Initiatives Team pending capacity to facilitate the strategic & annual planning process through
- the collection of key organizational metrics that help monitor progress against the CF corporate strategic plan
- a regular business environment refresh to help support, enhance, or adjust the current strategic plan
- support as needed the annual corporate and department objective setting process
- additional analyses and insights to support CF’s strategic plan development and monitoring
- Collaborate with the Lead, Enterprise Risk to ensure alignment across strategic planning and monitoring programs, as well as collaboration on insights regarding risks to ensure CF’s successful strategic execution
- Support the above programs with proactive & reactive research, analysis, and insights that facilitate the delivery of CF’s strategic plan especially as it applies to the evolving future of all current and planned CF asset types. This could include analyses regarding growth opportunities, evolving asset type-specific trends, evolving corporate and social responsibility direction, new innovation concepts, and business model impacts from industry changes and new trends. To create these insights the manager will need to:

- Translate high-level project requirements into an outline of required research and analyses to satisfy the project’s deliverables; establish work plans, monitor progress against goals, and conduct status updates with the Director of Strategic Planning & Business Insights to adjust approaches as required
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of project/analysis insights, including scope definition, priority setting, research, analysis, insight synthesis, report creation and communication.
- Develop and manage financial models as they relate to scenario analyses, pilot concepts, and business model impacts
- Provide reliable and timely interpretation of analysis and financial models that is synthesized for various levels of decision makers, including senior management and the executive team
- Support the facilitation of brainstorming workshops within the team and other CF department participants, often senior management as well as the executive team where needed to support strategic decisions
- Collaborate with project team members from across the business to gain input on approach, analyses, and the feasibility of recommendations, as well as outline possible pilot approaches and/or rollout plans for further evaluation
- Stay current on, and proactively share with the Director, Strategic Planning & Risk and other Strategic Insights & Risk team members, new industry trends or disruptors in commercial real estate (retail, office, residential, industrial), and technology advances/changes impacting these industries; over time increase knowledge of other asset classes and geographies that CF owns and operates in
- Prepare and present memoranda and presentations for senior management
