Job Title: General Manager
Job Overview:
You will be an essential component to the ongoing success of our chain, overseeing, training and developing our group of high achiever team members in both the front and back of house. You will oversee the coordination and communication with the team leaders in both the front and back of house, as you each play your roles to ensure every client interaction is a successful one. This is a very high-volume and active environment from open to close, so team management, coaching and development skills are imperative to your success.
**Responsibilities**:
- You have a complete understanding of food and labour costs and management
- Manage Inventory Control (inventory counts twice monthly - mid and end of month)
- Waste sheet management
- Labour management/scheduling
- Manage weekly food ordering (ensure proper stock levels of all products)
- Entering invoices as they arrive (uploading to our Market Man platform)
- Payroll reports submitted every other Tuesday
- Oversee weekly management meetings with Line and prep kitchen managers
- Coordinate daily staff pre-shift meetings
- Quarterly staff meetings to update team
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a prompt and efficient manner
- Hiring, training, and development of team members.
- Develop/coach effective team leaders to assist you when you are absent from the restaurant, and with day-to-day operations
- Identify areas of improvement to increase daily sales revenue
- Ensure all equipment and systems are in proper working order for the day
**Skills**:
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Ability to oversee all hiring, training, coaching/developing and where needed, firing of all team members.
- You have a high aptitude for developing team leaders.
- You have progressive management experience within the hospitality industry; high-volume restaurant experience is a definite asset.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on finding innovative solutions
- We have a marketing team, but knowledge of how to increase sales through social and local marketing initiatives is an asset.
- Strong understanding of exceptional food service and the high standards that are demanded.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to speak fluent English and Arabic an asset
- You appreciate working collaboratively with a team, recognizing we are stronger together.
- Must be available for weekend shifts
