**The HSE Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and management of health, safety, and environmental programs within the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and working closely with all departments to enhance workplace safety practices.**

**Essential Functions**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with applicable legislation and company standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees, ensuring they are aware of safety procedures and practices.
- Maintain training records and ensure all personnel are compliant with training requirements.
- Oversee incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring thorough investigations are conducted and corrective actions are implemented.
- Analyze incident data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare reports on findings and work with management to address any issues.
- Stay informed about relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies as required, ensuring all documentation and reporting are completed accurately and on time.
- Serve as a point of contact for HSE matters and promote effective communication regarding safety initiatives and updates.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on HSE performance and compliance status.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.Conduct drills and training to ensure employees are prepared for emergency situations.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a health, safety, and environmental role, preferably in a similar industry.Relevant certifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are an asset.

**Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of Canadian HSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem
- solving skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.

**Travel Requirements**:
Travel requirements 25-50% within Canada some travel to the states.

**Physical Demands**:

- Must be able to sit up to 8 hours.Must be able to lift 50lbs.
