**_Autoport Limited is looking for a Claims and Inspections Supervisor at its facility located in Eastern Passage_**

This position is responsible for maintaining oversight of the inspection process, including the supervision of the inspection team. This role is also responsible for the damage and theft claim process, including identifying trends in operations for cost-saving measures. You may be required to be outdoors during times of inclement weather; the majority of time is spent sitting in in a comfortable office environment with frequent opportunities to move about.

**Major Responsibilities and Duties**
- Process claims by uploading, reviewing, and assessing claims for accuracy and approval or denial; discussion with the Freight claims as required.
- Report and take note of trends within vehicle handling and claims processing that are a source of loss for the company; follow up with upper management to work out solutions for cost-saving measures.
- Maintain claim processing timelines and ensure that claim payments have been processed and cleared in SAP; accept accordingly once they have reached 60 days.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Communicate with Broker and Insurance Adjusters to maintain an updated record of all active insurance claims; work with adjusters to provide required documentation needed for claim adjudication.
- Follow-up with adjusters for payouts on active claims.
- Maintain the Funds Recovery Tracker for the status of all claims.
- Monitor the inspections operation to ensure flawless execution in the day-to-day operations of the inspection process.
- Ensure every exception is assessed and recorded, grading these against a standardized scale.
- Transmit information to OEM’s, shipping companies, and third parties contracted for oversight of claims and damages.
- Maintain the inspections schedule to ensure that the inspections operation is covered with the appropriate number of people; monitor attendance.
- Ensure that the 24-hour timeline is maintained with all inspections and reporting; ensure proper record-keeping of all inspections paperwork.
- Ensure the effective management of human and financial resources by setting and evaluating staff performance targets, promoting diversity and a healthy, respectful workplace
- Demonstrate leadership competencies by promoting teamwork and individual development.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills including communication, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making,
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, requires communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize work requirements and adjust schedule as required; strong decision-making skills and logical thought process.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc) and overall strong computer skills.
- Ability to work autonomously
- Must be able to walk, bend, twist and stand throughout shift; may be required to lift or move large binders or boxes of files.
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- 2 year’s experience in the automotive industry is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
