**Company Description**:
Vizva AgroTech is a Montreal-based company that designs and builds fully automated and cost-efficient hydroponics greenhouses. Our focus is on addressing the reduction of arable land and increase in global food demand.

**Role Description**:
This is a Full-time on-site role for a Horticultural R&D Manager. The Horticultural Manager will be responsible for overseeing the R&D, cultivation and maintenance of plants within the facility located in Montreal, QC. Daily tasks will include performing R&D with monitoring plant growth, handling pest and disease control, managing nutrient solutions, and adjusting environmental conditions based on plant needs.

**Qualifications**:

- Horticultural knowledge and experience in greenhouse cultivation
- Develops and implements research and development procedures and techniques.
- Experience with and knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental considerations, and data analysis would be beneficial for this role.
- Assists with the management and direction of the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new products.
- Oversees research projects, analyzes results and provides recommendations based on findings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with hydroponics, nutrient solution management, and pest and disease control
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Familiarity with automation systems and software is preferred.
- Degree or diploma in horticulture or related field

**Salary**: $18.20-$25.00 per hour
