We have a unique opportunity within our sales team for an **Ophthalmic Division Sales Representative** to support the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding areas. We are looking for a highly motivated individual that brings strong industry knowledge with a proven track record.

- **What Are You Responsible For?**_
- Sale of capital equipment - including lane, pre-test, imaging, OCT, and dry eye solutions - to ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, hospitals, and surgical centres in the GTA and surrounding areas
- Provide technical assistance and operator training, as required
- Proactively prospect, qualify and forecast opportunities in the assigned territory, including timely follow-up on inbound leads from trade shows and other corporate marketing efforts
- Manage sales opportunities from start to finish including product evaluations, negotiation / close, installation and follow-up
- Document all customer-related activities and opportunities in the CRM database
- Prepare and submit territory forecasts and business plans as required / requested
- Meet / exceed both revenue and non-revenue targets as outlined in the annual performance plan
- Travel within the GTA and periodic travel outside of territory for training, trade shows and other events
- **What do you need to be Successful?**_
- 2 to 3 years of Capital Sales experience. Experience within medical or ophthalmic fields would be an asset
- Proven success in prospecting and developing a business strategy
- Proven experience in organizing sales calls and schedules, and evidence of detailed reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships
- Strong technical aptitude with proven ability to learn and proficiently demonstrate complex products and/or solutions
- Highly motivated, results oriented, high energy team player that interfaces well at all levels within the organization demonstrated through well developed interpersonal skills
- Proficient with office productivity software including Microsoft Office
- Exposure to a CRM like Salesforce and/or SAP would be beneficial
- Valid driver's license and own transportation is required

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- capital equipment sales: 2 years (preferred)

- ophthalmic: 1 year (preferred)
