**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - include the following. Other duties may be assigned**
- **EDI Implementation**: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement and maintain EDI solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and business requirements.
- As a LAPP EDI specialist and member of the Global HQ´s Digital Sales Team, you will implement EDI integration projects with our customers and LAPP subsidiaries worldwide to further expand the EDI sales channel successfully.
- Initiation, global coordination, and joint implementation with the SAP team regarding necessary SAP enhancements (IT demands, requirements, and dependencies) for an excellent internal and external EDI customer experience.
- You will support and optimize existing EDI connections in close coordination with customers and service providers, taking into account internal interfaces and processes.
- **Testing and Validation**: Conduct thorough testing of EDI processes to identify and resolve issues, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with standards. Perform validation checks to verify successful data transmission.
- **Issue Resolution**: Investigate and troubleshoot EDI-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues promptly. Implement preventive measures to minimize future problems.
- You will analyze individual customer requirements and create concepts for tailor-made solutions in close coordination with our external EDI provider, our LAPP IT and the SAP S/4 HANA key users. Together with your HQ´s team members from the "Customer Success" and "Project Implementation" team, you will ensure the successful implementation of complex requirements.
- **Compliance**: Stay informed about industry-specific EDI standards and regulations. Ensure compliance with trading partner requirements and work towards continuous improvement in meeting evolving standards.
- **Documentation**: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for EDI processes, configurations, and workflows. Provide training and support to internal staff regarding EDI usage and best practices.
- Robust and global EDI multi-project management including the development of a future global documentation standard for connectivity projects.
- **Communication**: Foster effective communication with external partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth EDI transactions. Serve as a point of contact for EDI-related inquiries.
- Through your feedback to the EDI business process owners and project managers, you will actively contribute to the further development of our integration services and actively shape LAPP's digital sales roadmap

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent working experience.
- 3+ years proven experience as an EDI Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficient in EDI standards such as AS2, ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and others.
- Strong understanding of data mapping, translation, and integration.
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP system and integration methodologies.
- Excellent technical, problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
- Intercultural experience with global customers and colleagues
- Preferred: experience in vendor and contract management for (global) EDI service providers

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**:

- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Effective in gathering and analyzing disparate data elements as well as presenting information and responding to inquiries from groups of peers, managers, customers, and global colleagues.

**COMPUTER SKILLS**:

- Experience with EDI software and tools.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
- Extensive experience working with SAP ERP
