**Employment Opportunity Overview**:
Reporting directly to the Director, Development & Community Engagement, the Regional
Development Officer, BC/Yukon will be responsible for assisting with the execution of the
Canadian Liver Foundation (CLF)’s revenue generating strategy. The incumbent will coordinate
plans and activities that will grow revenue including, but not limited to, events and health
promotion programs. Other duties will include volunteer coordination, maintaining the Raiser’s
Edge CRM database and administrative tasks.

**Responsibilities**

In collaboration with the Director, Development & Community Engagement, this position will
perform a various of Fund Development Duties:
**Donor and Community Relations Management**:

- Coordinate events, such as the LIVERight Health Forums, Stroll for Liver and LIVERight
- Gala.- Recruit, manage, coach, and engage volunteers.
- Coordinate and attend health fairs, health promotion events and deliver presentations.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, funders, volunteers and the community at
- large.- Assist third party event organizers with their community outreach needs.

**Fund Development Duties**

maintaining detailed records of all donor (including major donors) contact, history and
moves management; ensures timely and personal appreciation and recognition is
completed.
- Assist with the development and management of annual regional fundraising plans.
- Work with the marketing department to promote the CLF through various marketing

and media channels including Facebook, twitter, etc.

**Donor Administration**
- Provide status reports, post-event reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare month-end financial reports.
- Maintain Raiser’s Edge CRM database (training will be provided).
- Provide administrative and office management support to the Director, Development &
- Community Engagement.- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum 3 years of non-profit charitable sector experience with event planning

experience is an asset
- Marketing and communication experience is preferred.
- Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks
- with mínimal supervision are essential.- Ability to work independently is imperative.
- Team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
- Detail oriented and able to accurately proofread marketing materials.
- Gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Ability to make sound, timely, and accurate judgment while supporting reasoning for

decisions.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Self-starter, resourceful, flexible, and well organized.
- Professional, responsive, and possess a positive work attitude.
- Ability to travel.
- Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
- Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends.
