**FTAI Aviation Canada**:
FTAI operates a state-of-the-art engine maintenance facility in Montreal, Canada that offers a comprehensive range of capabilities to support its customers, focusing primarily on CFM56 engine maintenance, repair, and exchange (MRE). FTAI Aviation Canada services over 150 engines per year supporting FTAI’s leased fleet and a global customer base of airlines, lessors and MROs.

FTAI operates globally and has offices in New York, Miami, Montreal, Singapore. Dubai, United Kingdom and Ireland.

**Specific Job Description**:
We are seeking an experienced Training and Development Specialist to lead our organizational training efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for devising and implementing a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with our business objectives. Your primary focus will be identifying training needs, designing relevant programs, and assessing their impact on employee performance and loyalty.
- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
- Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
- Deploy a wide variety of training methods
- Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
- Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success periodically and report on them
- Provide opportunities for ongoing development
- Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.

**Required skills, qualifications and experience**:

- Proven work experience as a Training Specialist
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
- Good computer and database skills
- Degree in education, human resources or relevant field.

**Desired skills, qualifications and experience**:

- Experience in Aerospace will be an asset.
- Demonstrated experience consulting with an assigned client organization on production, and learning and development topics
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and initiatives, including developing project plans, identifying stakeholders, preparing corresponding communication plans, identifying of milestones, deadlines, and metrics to assess outcomes/results
- Demonstrated ability to lead change
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
- Five years of leadership experience.
- Must demonstrate strong decision making and judgment, oral and written communication.
