With the pandemic (mostly) behind us we can look back with pride on how we dealt with it as individuals and as a company. Our customers got full refunds, guides got support and internally we used the time to train our people and rework our business and processes and refine our “principle over policy” philosophy. As the saying goes “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” and as the travel industry rebounds, we are ready to take our business to the next level.

**The Opportunity**:
Our organization is evolving and we’re looking for a highly engaged, holistic thinking **Head of People and Culture** that will report to our President and help us figure out the most effective way to onboard, motivate, train and compensate our people so they can achieve peak performance, deliver outstanding service to customers (inside and outside the organization) and grow as individuals. Our new and first ever Head of People and Culture should be a Director or VP level individual ready, willing and able to lead all activities of the HR team that support our global operations and the wellbeing of our employees as well as rolling up their sleeves and helping to get the work done..

**Key Focus & Responsibilities**
- Build on our existing team (2 Generalists) and take our HR function to the next level so that it adds value to the organization by enabling individuals, organizational units and the company as a whole to achieve their goals.
- Refine or design and implement policies and practices for the core aspects of HR with a focus on establishing consistency across countries in key areas including: compensation, benefits, vacation, performance and talent management engagement, training, analytics, workforce planning
- Support ongoing development of succession planning, internal and external recruiting
- Evaluate our current HR tools and propose changes to key systems that will be needed to support the expected growth of the business
- Refine and build on HR reporting to leadership with simple, meaningful metrics that help drive business decisions and results
- Support management teams and employees with highly targeted training and development across all of the offices/countries where our people work. (this may include travel to these locations on an annually))
- Identify and provide cost benefit analysis for creative “productivity hacks” for employees.
- Develop human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, and forecasting business needs
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements in the countries we operate in

**Required Skills/Experience/Attitude**
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar relevant field
- 10+ years’ experience in human resources with at least 3-4 in a management role. Multinational experience is required. Technology or Travel industry experience is preferred
- Expert knowledge of Human Resource operations and legal regulations
- Strong interest and experience in succession planning and recruitment
- Program Management, prioritization and process improvement skills to drive several projects, processes, and ongoing activities
- Credibility and the ability to influence senior leaders backed by impeccable communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in an environment of uncertainty and change.
- Ability to be tactical and strategic and take a practical approach to choosing when to be which
- Player/coach attitude, with the ability to lead from the front, side and back
- Advanced Data analysis and presentation skills in a relevant context.
