**Basic Function**:
Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, Global Quality Assurance within the Management Systems team, the Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator play an integral role in ensuring the production, manufacture, and delivery of high quality products to HFS Lubricants & Specialties customers. The QA Coordinator will support the Management Systems team by completing independent quality assessments of External Providers (EP’s) against HFS requirements, track and trend quality issues to identify continual improvement opportunities, and monitor/validate internal quality processes to provide confidence that HFS products meet and/or exceeds customer quality/service requirements.

**Job Duties**:

- Develop, modify and steward the External Provider Quality Guideline (EPQG) & Distributor Quality Standards (DQS;) as well as organize and participate in training for External Providers, Distributors, and HFS employees
- Responsible for managing the assessment of new/current External Providers (including blenders, packagers, distribution terminals, component suppliers, marketers and distributors) using a risk-based approach to determine frequency and type of assessment required
- Conduct assessments of External Providers (which include Distributors/Marketers) for conformance to HFS L&S quality assurance programs and conformance to HFS L&S Management System requirements
- Monitor the effectiveness of the External Providers to the External Provider Quality Guidelines & Distributors to the Distributor Quality Standards
- Liaise with HFS L&S stakeholders to provide expert advice and interaction with external distributors, blenders, packagers, terminals, and component suppliers etc.
- Track quality incidents and identify trends to the Global Quality Assurance Manager for risk assessment and continual improvement opportunities
- Support resolution of quality related issues through cross functional collaboration in root cause analysis investigations, corrective action development, implementation, and effectiveness verification.
- Achieve Quality Assurance objectives by monitoring day-to-day activities: data verification, ASTM Round Robin, white oil validation, SQC programs etc.
- Participate in internal audits as auditors with the goal of continual process improvements of product realization and quality management while maintaining third party recognition programs

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a Lubricants/Manufacturing/Blending/Packaging Environment
- Experience in Quality/Management Systems, Technical Services or Research & Development, and blending and packaging is preferred

**Education Level**:

- College Diploma in science related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is preferred

**Required Skills**:

- Diverse knowledge of process operation and equipment.
- Working knowledge and participation in audits of ISO Quality & Environmental Systems and OEM registrations, warehouse, blending, and distribution protocols with external providers.
- Knowledge of plant, manufacturing, reliability tools, and related processes.
- Knowledge of process controls and process safety systems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills for audiences of varying sizes, backgrounds, and levels of expertise
- Advanced computer literacy in: MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), SAP, database creation and management.
- Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking and problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams as well as working independently with mínimal supervision.

**Work Conditions**:

- Office based within a refinery/manufacturing site. Required to work in Lubricants refinery environment, warehouse/plant environment, and out of doors environment including but not limited to with chemicals, tank wagons, tank cars and tanks. Extensive travel, which could include occasional travel to other countries (e.g. USA, The Netherlands, China) for audits and assessments.
- Work is fast paced & can be high stress as a result of the need to meet customer demands while maintaining ISO, IATF and Management Systems requirements. Required to work in all temperatures including outdoors, near moving mechanical parts and/or rotating equipment. Subject to varying weather conditions.
