Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced CDP to join our team. As a CDP, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. You will work closely with the management team to create innovative and delicious menu items that meet the expectations of our guests.
**Duties**:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, following established recipes and guidelines
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, portion control, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items that align with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented according to company standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Oversee the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet visual appeal standards
- Assist with menu planning, costing, and pricing to maximize profitability
**Skills**:
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on creativity and attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and culinary trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise kitchen staff
- Experience in restaurant management or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of bartending is a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working as a Chef in a restaurant or similar setting
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
