**What does your day at GIP look like?**
- Completes inspection and testing on products and materials in conformance with standard test methods and procedures.
- Communicates quickly to production and management on any nonconforming materials or other quality issues.
- Provides corrective actions to production and management to correct nonconforming materials or improve other quality issues.
- Calibrates inspecting, testing and other measurement equipment.
- Follows and controls documentation related to testing procedures, product specifications and calibration procedures.
- Completes and controls documentation related to inspection results, testing results and calibration.
- Compiles and measures quality related data and submits reports to management.
- Provides effective, professional, written, and verbal communication with other employees with quality assurance or control functions, and customers.
- Participates in on the Joint Health and Safety committee.
- Monitors and operates key environmental systems.
- Performs additional duties as required by management.

- A post-secondary education preferably in Construction related fields is a benefit.
- Valid G class license with good driving record
- Ability to travel across the province for several days up to more than a week at times.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint an asset.
- Able to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Technical Knowledge of asphalt paving or construction an asset.
- Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
- Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
- Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.

- Peterborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
