**Tantalum Mining Corporation **(TANCO) owned by Sinomine (Hong Kong) Rare Metal Resources Co. Ltd. is a mining and manufacturing company located 60 kilometers Northeast of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Employees reside in Lac du Bonnet, Pinawa and the surrounding area. These areas offer safe, family-orientated living, excellent schools, services, and affordable housing just over an hour’s drive of Winnipeg.

With the operation of our Lithium process, we are looking for a **Operations Manager** to join our team to continue to achieve our mission of transforming rare metal resources today, into products that shape our tomorrow.

**Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities)**
- Ensure that all aspects of mill and chemical plant operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner while maintaining compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure supply of pollucite ore to the chemical plant on a timely basis at or above budgeted tonnages and meeting size specification.
- Maximize mill throughput and recovery to meet or exceed budgeted plant feed and concentrate tonnages.
- Ability to develop and comply with Budgets and Financial Tools.
- Lead preparation of budgets for areas of responsibility based on guidelines and requirements for the site.
- Budget responsibilities include chemical plant, conventional plant, grinding plant, mill common, spodumene and tantalum, chemical plant utility and applicable projects.
- Work within all levels and areas of the organization on issues which impact production targets.
- Work within all levels and areas of the organization on issues which impact maintenance, capital planning and execution.
- Provide feedback to project teams regarding improvement and changes to the equipment and operation while promoting and supporting a team-based environment.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of milling processes and the equipment typical to such an operation.
- Ability to provide excellent short term and long-term planning in all areas of responsibility.
- Must have excellent project management skills.
- Capable of leading and directing others to achieve their objectives while complying with approved regulations and standards.
- Leads and/or participates in team or group discussions on a variety of issues
- Ability to coach, assess, enhance, and evaluate employee performance and maintain good labor relations, both staff and hourly personnel.
- Must have ability to interview and select personnel.
- Capably makes decisions, sometimes in critical circumstances, considering the business.

**Education/Experience**
- University degree or 5-10 years’ experience in a chemical & mill processing facility.
- Appropriate training in Financial, Statistical and Management systems. Computer Competency Microsoft Office along with all applicable software, Klougin, Sage
