We are seeking a Carbon Accounting Strategist to spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive sustainability strategy for various clients, focusing on carbon accounting as a key component. Tasked with conceptualizing and executing the strategic roadmap, this role involves identifying opportunities for emission reduction, setting ambitious targets, and aligning sustainability initiatives with organizational objectives. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners, the Strategist drives innovation and fosters a culture of sustainability, ensuring that carbon accounting principles are understood and how that translates into a businesses workflow and culture. With a keen understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends, you provide and overview to navigate regulatory landscapes and leverage technological advancements advancing corporate responsibility.

- Joint Project Kickoff:

- Lead joint kickoff meetings with client stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and expectations.
- Sustainability Assessment:

- Conduct initial sustainability assessments using comprehensive tools to gather data on current practices, environmental impacts, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate logistics, data access, and communication with client teams.
- Strategy Development:

- Develop tailored sustainability strategies and action plans, setting SMART goals.
- Provide insights into operational feasibility, resource availability, and implementation challenges.
- Action Plan Breakdown:

- Break down action plans into projects and tasks, setting timelines, allocating resources, and assigning responsibilities.
- Ensure alignment with strategic objectives in coordination with the Strategy Consultant.
- Execution Oversight:

- Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Provide ongoing strategic advice and navigate challenges to ensure sustainability goals are met.

Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: $120,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
