ROLE SUMMARY

Based at our Edmonton office and reporting to the Manager of Pre-Construction & Funding. The Market & Risk Analyst is responsible for completing analytical initiatives designed to advance the growth and efficiency of our organization along with advising our clients. The Market & Risk Analyst ensures that the Leadership team has all the insights they need to make the best decisions to optimize current projects reduce client and stakeholder risks on funding, and to work on identifying new opportunities for the organization.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Travel to projects may be required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- Conduct analytical marketing studies.
- Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional, or international areas to assess the development of potential and future trends.
- Design market research questionnaires.
- Develop a portfolio of marketing materials.
- Design, conduct, and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects.
- Develop feasibility studies.
- Develop marketing & risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts, or articles.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Research related fields
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience using competitive research tools.
- Ability to translate business objectives into research steps.
- Experience pulling out insights from various research reports to make recommendations.
- Ability to gather data from various sources (internal and external) and find patterns/trends.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience converting complex data into digestible tables, graphs, and written reports.
- Excellent planning, assessment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently on a variety of projects simultaneously.

- Creative Thinking - Able to generate new concepts and ideas and find new ways to link the existing ones or discover better alternatives and look at the stakeholders’ needs from a different angle and suggest new approaches.
- Decision Making - Consistently chooses between various alternatives and has to decide which one will bring the most value to the organization and stakeholders.
- Data Analysis - Able to develop and present technical reports based on the collection, analysis and interpretation of data.
- Communication - Able to effectively communicate and gather information from stakeholders and present the findings into reports.
