We are a private small business that provides in-home and out-of-home respite care for children, youth, and adults with special and varying needs. We are currently adding members to our team in the London area to work with all age groups, who have a variety of developmental and emotional needs. Applicants should have experience or background working with Mental Health, spectrum disorders, and physical and developmental disabilities. All applicants must demonstrate the ability to work well as a part of a team, have effective intervention skills, communicate successfully, and interact positively with clients and their families.

This position is an Independent Contract and requires the ability to support clients who have a wide range of developmental and emotional needs.

This position requires:

- Postgraduate degrees such as Early Childhood Education, Developmental Service worker, Child and Youth Care Worker, Social Service Worker, or Professional equivalents
- Experience with children, youth, and adults with special and varying needs
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge or experience with children, youth, and adults with mental health challenges
- Commitment to providing quality-of-life experiences in-home and in the community
- First aid/ CPR certificate
- Must possess certification in PMB or CPI or be willing to take the training
- Must provide criminal record check and Vulnerable Sector screening
- Access to a vehicle, proof of insurance with a minimum $1,000,000 liability, and a G licence
- **Evening, weekend, and PD Day availability**
- **Experience with clients demonstrating aggression**
- Be comfortable working in-home with families with pets (not required but is an asset)

**Salary**: $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
