:
**The Quality Control Technician is responsible for working with the Quality Control Team on all quality tests and procedures.**

**We are presently looking for full-time permanent Quality Control Technician for day and afternoon shift at our apple packing facility. We are looking for reliable team players with an attention to detail and can perform tasks efficiently and safely.**
- Day Shift_ _- Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm plus some_ Saturday work as needed.

Wage: $17.50 per hour
- Afternoon shift - Monday to Friday 4pm to 12am plus some Saturday work as needed._
- Wage: $17.50 per hour + $1.oo per hour afternoon shift premium_

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Apple Quality Testing**
- Perform all apple quality testing as instructed
- Coordinate with Shipping and the Line Operator to ensure that all tests are completed and that they are accurately documented
- Ensure that all test reports are approved by the Supervisor
- Perform walk-around visual inspections of apples being packed and, working with the Supervisor, perform additional tests as needed
- Maintain an organized filing system of all test results

**General**
- Other product quality testing as needed
- Perform tasks efficiently with an attention to detail
- Working on the line when all duties are completed
- Follows company policies & complies with safely rules
- Maintains a clean work area at all times, keep work areas clear of debris

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Work experience in food manufacturing an asset
- Related education in food processing or science an asset
- Attention to detail with an eye for quality and efficiency
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Good communication and computer skills
- Ability to lift 40-50lbs periodically (from the line to testing table)

**Salary**: $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
