Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

As a Materials Technology Laboratory Technician, you will carry out geotechnical laboratory testing in our Waterloo geotechnical laboratory.

The laboratory work will include:

Conducting Geotechnical Tests: Perform a variety of geotechnical tests, including but not limited to rock testing and soil testing such as classification, consolidation, permeability, and shear strength tests, with a focus on accuracy and precision.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports. Ensure that findings are clearly communicated and documented according to laboratory standards.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate advanced geotechnical testing equipment. Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal functionality.

Quality Control: Adhere to strict quality control protocols and participate in the development of new testing procedures and methodologies.

Research and Development: Assist in research projects and the development of new testing methods to enhance laboratory capabilities.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior engineers and technicians. Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative projects.
