**Purpose**:

Schulich enrolls approximately 3,000 students annually in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate business. Located in Toronto, Canada, the School's multimillion-dollar, award-winning complex is on York University's main campus. Schulich's downtown Miles S. Nadal Management Centre is situated in the heart of the city's financial district. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Policy & Planning (Director), the Manager, Academic Strategy role provides leadership, program development, strategic direction, and policy frameworks on the program evaluation and quality assurance processes. The role supports the Dean, Associate Deans, and other senior leaders, by providing oversight on academic reporting, budget & human resource management, policy management and compliance requirements with University, provincial and federal government accrediting bodies. The Manager, Academic Strategy roles takes a strategic view of the accreditation, academic learning outcomes, graduate attribute indicators, and quality assurance processes. The role provides analysis, leads the setup and development of strategic, operational, and academic reports, identifies, and capitalizes on synergies, and makes recommendations on continuous improvement of related processes.

**Education**:
University Degree in a relevant discipline, such as Science, Engineering, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters or PhD preferred.
Project, policy, or analytics certification is an asset.

**Experience**:
Five (5) years related experience working in a university, college, or public sector setting, inclusive of experience in:
Developing reports and working with committees.
Working on large and complex projects over several cycles/years.
Accreditation and quality assurance processes.
Experience leading staff and interacting with senior administrators. Three (3) years of management experience.

**Skills**:
Effective communication and presentation skills, particularly preparing briefing and other materials for executive leadership.
Effective skills leading projects. Able to manage multiple priorities and navigate approval processes within tight timelines.
Proficient using project tracking tools and software.
Effective quantitative research and analytical skills. Able to identify issues, develop policy recommendations, and accurately identify opportunities for improvement.
Effective consultation and relationship-building skills.
Effective program evaluation skills. Able to define and accurately measure effectiveness of new programs and policies.
Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills to gather input and achieve buy-in from a diverse set of internal and external partners.
Ability to use tact, good judgement, and political acuity.

- **Compensation**:
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.
