Victoria, Canada RISE Behaviour Services Full time

_Qualifications_:

- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Membership in the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC
- Two years of experience working with clients who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities
- The Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) status
- A valid BC driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Clearance from a criminal record check
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
- Responsibilities:_

Our goal is to give children a voice and a means of expression, aiding families in their journey toward successful communication.
- Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders
- Works on speech goals with clients at our centre or in the client’s home, school, or community
- Collaborates with Behaviour Consultants
- Provides training and ongoing in-home support to families, caregivers, and behaviour interventionists
- Regular overlaps with behaviour interventionists
- Maintains regular contact with families and team members
- Keeps up-to-date with current literature and research in the field
- Requirements_:

- Must provide a copy of a current criminal record check
- Full-time availability is required
- Willing to travel in the greater Victoria area
- A passion to work with children

We reduce challenging behaviour by identifying the function and teaching appropriate alternatives. Our services range from Positive Behaviour Support, to academic tutoring, to feeding therapies.

We provide services on Vancouver Island, BC.
