ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of AV Maintenance Specialist on the AV Maintenance team is responsible for verification and data entry of AV Repertoire in SOCAN’s systems. This includes but is not limited to, research, corrections, and validation activities. You will be expected to support any testing activities and act as backup to the Team Lead. Coordinating of high-profile series for processing as well as support prioritization of team members processing activities to maximize match rates and ensure the accuracy of SOCAN’s AV Distribution of royalties to our members and foreign affiliates. Also act as a liaison between your team and the Quality and Training team.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION
**You will contribute to “raising the bar for music rights,” by**:

- Verification of cue sheet entry
- Compare duplicate cue sheets received from various sources such as Broadcasters, Producers, Foreign Societies, and resolve any discrepancies as necessary
- Add new AV repertoire including the maintenance of existing AV works and data entry of cue sheet details of music used in Film and Television productions in SOCAN’s EPICOR system
- Research and identify any conflicting information or discrepancies using SOCAN’s DAP and EPICOR systems
- Provide back up to the Team Lead
- Support testing activities as required
- Liaising with the Queries team to resolve more complex queries from members and foreign societies
- Proactively advise Team Lead of potential processing and efficiency improvements
- Other duties, as required.

Experience
- Knowledge or experience in the Music Industry or Performing Rights is an asset.

Education
- Post-secondary diploma/degree or relevant working experience.

Skillset/ Nice to Have’s
- Excellent research skills
- Strong problem solver
- Strong aptitude for figures
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Bilingual in French and English is a strong asset but is not required.
