The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, is seeking a highly collaborative, driven individual to assist the Rentals Manager with all rentals and leases within the Citadel Theatre complex. The **Assistant Hospitality Manager** is a pro-active individual whose approach fosters a respectful workplace, and provides a welcoming, safe experience to all stakeholders.

**Function/Role**:
The **Assistant Hospitality Manager**, reporting to the Director of Hospitality, will ensure the Citadel’s continued success by managing the day-to-day operations of the Citadel’s Bar Services and assist the Hospitality Director in achieving company goals. They will guarantee the highest level of patron experience, safety, and ensure that company standards are met and exceeded.

The **Assistant Hospitality Manager** will take a proactive leadership role in fostering a respectful and positive workplace where all of our stakeholders are excited, connected, and invested in the work of the theatre.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee all daily operations for Bar Services for Citadel Theatre productions, events, rental clients, and general public accessing the building.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service for all patrons visiting the Citadel Theatre.
- Supervise a team of Bar staff to ensure that all staff have current, thorough knowledge of product and specifications to a standard which allows consistent execution and accurate communication to patrons.
- Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of Bar staff with the oversight of the Hospitality Director.
- Monitor inventory of food and beverage to ensure adequate stock is maintained and to prevent waste or mistakes by staff.
- Responsible for preparing weekly orders as necessary to replenish stock, with the oversight of the Hospitality Director.
- Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities, acting as the main escalation point and support during performances and events, overseeing the performance operations of Hospitality staff (Bar Services, Front of House, Rentals)
- Responsible for the preparation of deposits and cash floats for staff.
- Prepare sales reconciliation reports, ensuring accurate reporting of bar revenue.
- Assist in the maintenance of all bar equipment, POS system, resources, etc.
- Troubleshoot any problems that may arise.
- Pour and mix cocktails, beer, and wine in accordance with Citadel training and recipes.
- Use a POS system to process transactions, run reports, and maintain inventory with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ensure a meticulously clean environment of all bars and storage spaces.
- Adhere to, train, and enforce Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission and associated laws, regulations, and policies relating to, but not limited to, the service of alcohol.
- Work closely with other departments (Front of House, Events, Box Office) to ensure the highest patron experience standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- Previous Hospitality experience required
- Commitment to excellent customer service..
- Pro-serve required
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both clients and suppliers.
- Ability to work comfortably in a face paced environment.
- Flexible schedule that requires evenings and weekends.

This is a Full-time, permanent position of 35 hours per week.
