As the **Advisor, Non-Hospital Surgical Facility (NHSF)**, you will support the clinical accreditation processes and standards through a broad range of activities. You will work together with the Program Manager, Clinical Accreditation Services, to represent and communicate the program to internal and external stakeholders.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- ** Clinical Accreditation**:

- Support NHSF facility assessments through the stages of planning, desk and/or field audits, and reporting.
- Conduct facility audits: liaise with various stakeholders to provide information and instructions on accreditation/approval requirements and processes.
- Communicate with facility key stakeholders; prepare and edit assessment citation documents.
- Maintain facility files; ensure CPSA database and assessment tracking is current and reflects accurate information.
- Identify and coordinate educational initiatives to foster communication and promote quality enhancement.
- Provide program advice, direction and leadership to assessors.
- Provide oversight in the development and provision of assessor education, support, and training.

Operational Support**:

- Identify quality improvement initiatives to support NHSF programs.
- Represent Clinical Accreditation Services NHSF program to stakeholders.
- Provide oversight of NHSF program-related work of Accreditation Assistants.
- Support planning and development of long-term program strategies; participate in budget planning.
- **
Reportable Incidents**:

- Support processing of reportable incident document submissions; collate and ensure completeness.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**:

- General analytical, planning and professional skills typically obtained through a Bachelor of Science, Nursing, or equivalent clinical background.

**Experience**:

- Requirement for 3 to 5 years of related experience.
- Experience in accreditation assessments is required.
- Experience in surgical nursing and/or working in a non-hospital surgical facility is an asset.

**Skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently within a team environment.

**SALARY**
The salary for this position is $93,843 and includes a comprehensive benefit package and pension plan.
